2017: Copyright issues in Academic Libraries

Description: The influence of copyright law on our work as information professionals is pervasive. As information professionals we have a duty to be well-informed of our responsibilities in print and digital academic communication environments, where the issue of copyright is ever present. This seminar is designed to enable library staff gain an understanding of the principle of copyright, the need for compliance, and the practicalities of how copyright affects a range of services offered by academic libraries in-house, online, in teaching environments and in the dissemination of research.
