The CONUL Teaching and Learning Committee invite you to attend their 2024 Annual Seminar – “Defining ‘AI’ in Teaching & Learning: the role of libraries in Access and Inclusion; Academic Integrity; and Artificial Intelligence”
Friday 1st March 2024 at 9:30am–4pm at the Long Room Hub, Trinity College Dublin, College Green.
The seminar will look at what ‘AI’ means in the context of Higher Education libraries, with particular focus on learning and teaching roles. In addition to a range of short and long talks, the day will include a panel discussion and networking opportunities.
Our speakers and panellists will be talking about the following ‘AI’s, their intersection with each other and the role of libraries in supporting them:
Academic Integrity: teaching and supporting assessment of academic integrity, particularly as artificial intelligence tools proliferate.
Access & Inclusion: best practice examples and ongoing development of accessible and inclusive approaches to our teaching, library spaces, use of collections (physical and electronic) and wider collaboration with other professional service units.
Artificial Intelligence: approaches to positioning libraries in the dialogue around AI, and the way in which library collections and IL approaches can be used to address the impact of AI on student learning.
