Identifies training needs within member libraries, runs an ongoing co-operative training and development programme.

Focusing on the promotion and visibility of Unique and Distinct Collections including Archive Collections, for research and public engagement.

Member Spotlight

University of Limerick Glucksman Library

The reimagined and extended Glucksman Library, which opened in 2018, was designed to transform the Library and the University for scholarship in a digital age.The 6,000 square metre expansion of the Glucksman Library brought the overall number of study spaces to 2,200 and created an expanded range of study environments for silent, quiet and group work.

In addition to group study, meeting and training rooms, the library at UL has a Digital Scholarship studio, data visualization lab, a Moot Appellate Court, practice presentation room and exhibition space.The new library features an ARC, an automated book retrieval and delivery system, the first of its kind in Ireland.
