The new UCD Library Strategic Plan 2021-2025 was launched on Wednesday, 2nd March by Associate Librarian (and acting Librarian) Lorna Dodd and UCD’s Deputy President, Professor Mark Rogers.
The ambitious new Strategy, which sets UCD Library on a course to become the Library of the Future, aligns with many of the goals set out in University College Dublin’s Strategy 2020-2024 Rising to the Future. Five pillars have been developed in line with the strategic themes in the UCD Strategy. Under each of these pillars several initiatives have been identified. The five pillars in our new Plan are:
Pillar 1: Leading, engaging and partnering with communities
Pillar 2: Enhancing the learning experience and empowering students
Pillar 3: Creating an inclusive Library for all
Pillar 4: Fostering critical digital literacies
Pillar 5: Advancing open research and global digital scholarship
