TU Dublin Library Services Launches Inclusive Collection

TU Dublin Library Services launched the Inclusive Library Collection on Friday, 4 March. The new collection was officially launched at the TU Dublin Tallaght Library. Funding provided by TU Dublin Library Services facilitated the purchase of books and eBooks. The Inclusive Collection will be a University resource for students and staff to increase racial literacy.

Speaking at the event Aidín O’Sullivan, TU Dublin: Assistant Head of Library Services: Collections said, “I am very proud that we now have this really important, inclusive collection in our libraries.

I believe that if we’re serious about being inclusive and diverse in our University, we need to embrace EDI in all aspects and areas of the University, and I think that we should continue to add to this collection and make provision for these resources.”

Speaking at the event Helena Doody, Head of Department of Humanities, commented “Developing Racial Literacy is a process that TU Dublin as a University must embrace if it is to become known as an inclusive learning environment”.

President of TU Dublin, Professor David FitzPatrick officially launched the Inclusive Collection during which he commended both the staff and students of TU Dublin for taking the initiative to develop the collection.
